i’ve been a stay at home mom since my son was born and i’ve been struggling with everything. my sons got his schedule and i just don’t have one myself. i’ve noticed weight gain bc i eat when im bored and that it quite often. i take my son to indoor parks when we both are feeling good (we’re both sick right now) but i just don’t have a schedule myself. i’ve never had a good relationship with food, either i eat too little or too much and it’s a vicious cycle.

Generally everyone is up by 7:30-8am. We spend 10-20 minutes getting dressed, brushing, hygiene etc. my husband works from home and tries to walk and get a quick breakfast w us at the coffee shop, usually leaves by or around 9am for meetings. I’ll walk from the cafe to the park (10 mins) and stay there as long as she wants usually 1-1.5 hour, until 10:30am. Walk back is about 20 mins but we stop and see the ducks on the way, or pick flowers. Usually home by 11. I check diaper, change clothes if she got gross at the park. We usually read a bunch of books and she’ll have a snack then or go out to water the garden (all between 11-12pm). Nap is at 12pm until 2 usually. I cook lunch and try to relax in that time. She has lunch at 2-2:30. Then we’ll usually read a bunch more books. Or my husband will take her for a walk until 3. 3-4pm is usually the hardest time to spend because she gets hyper. I’ll see if any of the other SAHMs I know are around and want to come over or vice versa. If not we go to the library (walking takes 20 minutes). Leave around 5-5:30pm. By the time we’re home husband is wrapping work and we can all hang out, listen to music, read more or walk around the block, call family etc Bathtime is 6:30pm. She’s in bed reading a few more books with me at 7pm and asleep by 7:15 usually. So my meals are 8am, 1pm and 7:30pm usually with a snack around 4pm. If the weather is bad I’ll move the library to morning and do a museum or grocery shopping in the afternoon.

hey mama! im a stay at home mom myself to my 3 and half year old and 21 month old (and a 15 year old) and i also have adhd with executive function issues and i had the HARDEST time getting into a routine. i also love to snack and that had put an extra 60 lbs on me.(2 pregnancies in 2 years didnt help either!) it is so hard! i will tell you what helped me, and maybe you could work something like this into your day, then build a routine around it.
i have started intermittent fasting, and carb cycling. i read the book Fast Like A Girl by Mindy Pelz and it changed my life! i currently do 16:8 fasting, which means there is an 8 hour window where i eat whatever i like and then the other 16 hours (including while im sleeping) i dont eat, but i do have water or my tea with nothing in it. i am already down 30 lbs, so just 30 more to go! there are all different fasting ratios if 16 is too long at first, theres 10:14, 12:12, 14:10, even as strict as 20:4 meaning you fast 20 hours and eat for 4 in a 24 hour period. i have an app that keeps track of how long i have fasted, so that makes it easy. i currently fast 7 pm to 11 am and eat between 11 am and 7pm. the carb cycling is a bit more in depth, so if you are interested in that, youll have to look into it on your own.
