How to Get There by Car?

If you are planning to drive from Helsinki, driving distance is approx. one day. Thus, the most convenient way is to load your car into the Car Train, and enjoy a good-night-sleep in the comfortable cabins with own wc and shower. More information www.vr.fi

If you are driving from Tromso, Norway driving distance is approx 5 hours. From Nordkapp approx 9 hours.

How to Get There by Plane?

The fastest way to travel to Lapland is by airplane. Finnair flies several times a day from Helsinki to Rovaniemi (RVN) around the year, as well as to Kittilä (KTT). Alternative airports are Kuusamo (KAO) and Kemi (KEM).

Norwegian also flies to Rovaniemi around the year.

During winter season, Norwegian and EasyJet fly directly from London Gatwick and Turkish Airlines from Istanbul to Rovaniemi. Lufthansa flies directly from Germany to Kittilä and to Kuusamo.

Airport Taxi is a convenient and inexpensive way to get from Rovaniemi Airport to Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus: the shared shuttle service staff wait at the airport exit. The cost is 7 EUR/one-way/person.

Santa’s Express Bus connection also between Rovaniemi Airport and city center.

How to Get There by Train?

Finnish Railway (VR) offers and comfortable and convenient way to travel across the country. Book a cabin in the night train from South Finland to Rovaniemi and wake up in Rovaniemi. Cabins with private bathrooms available. You can also load your own car on the train and continue your road trip after the travel.

How to Get There by Bus?

There are excellent bus connections to Rovaniemi. From Matkahuolto.fi you can easily search the connections from your point of departure.

The Arctic Route

Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus has a heated underground garage. You can stop briefly in front of the reception (hotel main entrance on the street Korkalonkatu 29) in order to get the needed access card from the reception. From the garage you have direct elevator access to the reception and to your hotel room.

The price is 18 EUR /day. Kindly note that there is a limited amount of parking spaces, therefore we cannot guarantee availability for all hotel guests.

In the garage we haveChago Pro EVF 200 charging stations for electric and hybrid vehicles. With 22 kW mid-speed charging, the charging time is 2-4 hours. The charging station parking place costs 30 EUR/24 hours and day charging 20 EUR. The charging station can be booked and paid for in the hotel reception. Kindly note that you must have your own needed charging cables with you.

Check-out time is at 11 am.

You can ask about early check-in and late check-out from our hotel reception. Kindly note that we cannot guarantee availability. If you would like to have a guaranteed early check-in or late check-out, we recommend that you book from the previous night / to the following day.

Pets are welcome to Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus. Pet fee is 30 EUR/pet/stay. Kindly note that there are a limited amount of rooms available.

We do not have designated allergy rooms. However, we do not have carpets in any of the rooms. If you do have an allergy, please inform our hotel staff in advance, so we can take it to consideration when assigning your room.
