The owner wrote, “It’s been a true blessing to watch the Wiant House come back to life with the sounds of the neighborhood. Through this process we gave purpose to a building that had been saved by the rallying cries of the town, repaired on the outside by the Community Center, but needed substantial renovation on the inside. It became a gathering space for friends, neighbors, and groups with common interests. However, we have since come to the realization that we are not the best people to fulfill the vision of what this building wants to become for West Chicago. So let's not call it the end of the book, but the end of the first chapter in what we hope will be a continued rich history of the Wiant House.” https://merleburl.com
